The summer was over when I returned to work on August 4th.  Don't get me wrong, I love my job.  (I'm an Assistive Technology Specialist, working with SPED students.)  However, when I read of the adventures of others traveling on the road, I feel a pang of jealousy. 

The weather here has been really hot, (I live in the desert southwest) and I long for the cool ocean coastline. 

Being home does have perks though.....  I'm ballroom dancing again on a regular basis which I love!  It's chile season here and the air is fragrant with the smell of roasting green chiles.  (Local groceries have complimentary roasting of green chile for buyers.) 

I though for a "hot minute" about buying another Toyota RV that was a little larger than mine.  However, the "COW" (Casa on Wheels) has been such a good RV and taken me (and Cali) to such wonderful places. 

Alas, my posting for awhile will only be short trips and/or getaways as the school year dictates.  Why is it that I yearn for the "open road?"
