Labor Day weekend always seems to evoke a feeling of sadness.  The summer is over (for the most part) and the days get shorter, etc...  Since gasoline is averaging $2.99/gallon in New Mexico, I decided it would be better to stay close to home over the long weekend. 

Today I went with some of my gal pals to an annual wine festival held at the fairgrounds.  For one price, attendees received a souviner wine glass and unlimited "tastings" from an array of New Mexico wineries.  There was also food, craft booths, and live music.  A very nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon.  http://www.nmwine.com/
